Dr. David is SO good and patient with kids (and adults). Everyone at the practice is always super nice and helpful. We've recently seen Dr. P and he is also amazing!!! Love the Saturday hours, late workweek hours and the convenience of their new office in Cary! 100% recommended!!

VERY HAPPY with the service I received from Dr. David at Better Dental in Apex! I’m a BIG baby when it comes to the dentist, but even bigger when I am in pain and have to go. They had me fixed up and feeling so much better the same day! Can’t thank them enough- especially seeing me (a new patient) during this Pandemic!!! Never been happier leaving the Dentist before!

This office is absolutely wonderful. The girls at the front were extremely kind & helpful. My anxiousness was a bit overwhelming, but Allison walked me through each step of what was going to happen. She encouraged me & gave me breaks as necessary, putting a cool cloth on my head. I would recommend this dental office to everyone, and I will definitely return.  Thank you so much!

This is a unique and extraordinary dental practice. They care about the comfort and experience for the patient - and they don't charge through the nose for it. All the people who work there are patient, knowledgeable, loving and kind -- even Dr Better, the dentist! I highly recommend Better Dental. I am having work done that I've put off and feared for years!!

Better Dental makes going to the dentist easy and comfortable. Since moving out of Apex, I still choose to go there over anywhere else. Friendly and caring staff and overall welcoming environment. Also, budget-friendly. I don't think you could ask for more.

How Much Does It Cost To Replace One Tooth?

Single Dental Implants

The average cost for a single implant is between $1,500 and $3,000 (not including crown, abutment, and extraction). The least expensive option is “immediate implant placement” which is possible immediately after tooth removal if there is adequate bone for placement. However, in complicated cases where jaw bone density is diminished or other complications exist due to injury or trauma, the cost may increase to between $6,000 and $7,500.

In more complicated scenarios there may not be adequate bone for a dental implant. In these cases the tooth socket is seeded with synthetic or cadaveric bone. This is called a bone graft. The socket is then grafted closed using your own gum tissue. It is allowed to heal for 3 to 4 months. We have staff in our Apex office who are happy to sit down and talk with you about a reasonable 6 to 12 month payment plan to help manage the cost of treatment.

Concerned about pain? Because we are very sensitive to patient comfort we offer sedation dentistry. We use an oral medication to help patients relax during dental procedures. Sedation dentistry is pain free, can be done in our Apex dentist office and doesn’t add excessive cost to your treatment.

Sedation dentistry is a stress free way to almost completely restore your smile in one visit. This allows you to avoid the risks associated with general anesthesia, while minimizing pain and anxiety.

How Much Does Teeth-in-a-Day Cost?

Cost And Benefits

All-on-4 implants are placed and used to support a permanent, non-removable, full set of teeth. This is an excellent option for “full arch” treatment in which every tooth on either the top or bottom of your mouth is being replaced. This treatment option is incredibly durable, will last a life-time and can be done in our Apex dentist office.

We can put your dental implants in place and replace all your teeth in one single visit. All-on-4 dentures cost between $13,000 and $18,000. It’s no small price tag but all of our patients say it was worth the cost.

Many say they wish they had not waited so long to do it. There is no way to put a price on the way it boosts their self confidence. Sit down, face to face in our Apex office with one of our billing specialists and let them help you set up a reasonable 6-12 month payment plan to defray the cost of treatment.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do implants hurt?

Receiving an implant involves an outpatient surgical procedure and as such, you will experience some pain and swelling following your surgery. However, you will receive detailed post-operative care instructions. Be sure to take pain relievers as prescribed by your dentist to minimize your discomfort as your mouth heals.

How long does it take to get implants?

The process of receiving implants can take several months and include 3-4 appointments. This will cover your initial implant consultation, treatment planning, implant surgery, and all follow-up visits to check on the condition of your implant and receive your final prosthetic.

Are implants covered by insurance?

Yes, in most cases, your insurance will cover a significant part of your implant treatment costs, though the percentage varies by plan and provider. We will provide you with a breakdown of all out-of-pocket costs.

What are the cons of not getting a dental implant?

It’s essential to address your tooth loss sooner rather than later. After you lose even a single tooth, your jaw will begin to shrink as your body starts absorbing calcium from the bone. This will impact the look of your face and cause your facial muscles to sag. Missing teeth also makes it difficult to properly chew and eat your food, leading to digestive problems and nutritional deficiencies.

Do you offer financing?

Yes, Better Dental has partnered with CareCredit to provide affordable, low-interest dental financing to our valued patients and their families.
